Jewels in Flight 2010

This year’s fundraiser, held on Saturday, May 8th at a private home in the San Jose foothills, was a great success. About 100 guests attended, raising almost $20,000 for the Wildlife Center. The highlight of the afternoon was the release of three hummingbirds—a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do!

An event like this couldn’t happen without the amazing support of our volunteers, sponsors, and donors. Special thanks to Art and Donna Alger for sponsoring the wine glasses and to Sandy Lesnewsky, who provided all the flower arrangements.

Director of Animal Care Stephanie Ellis thanks the guests for supporting the Center’s mission.

The San Jose foothills provide a lovely backdrop for the afternoon’s festivities.

Educational ambassador Jet, a Red-shouldered Hawk, makes an appearance.
